Installing a dual battery system behind the seat or under the bonnet is impossible in some vehicles and many owners prefer the benefits of a battery box that can be easily removed to power camp lights or even a fridge in the family tent.
The iTechWorld GoFurther battery box is a very popular option and now has dedicated mounting solutions for both PX Ranger and Next-Gen Ranger (RA Ranger).
Whilst it’s always been possible to mount the iTechWorld GoFurther battery box in these vehicles, using a mount that was originally designed for the Hardkorr Heavy Duty battery box, the dedicated solution offers a number of benefits.
Tie-Down Bars
By changing the profile of the side mounting point, the tie-down bar can remain in the recess within the tub liner (where fitted). As with all of our battery box mounts, the tie-down bar in the rear corner remains too.
For vehicles with either a spray-on liner or no liner at all, the rear tie-down bar remains but the bar to the side needs to be replaced with an M8 eye bolt because the original tie-down bar will obstruct the box.
Improved Fit
Whilst the GoFurther box will fit the mount we designed to fit the Hardkorr box, the new solution is even better, holding the box securely between locating faces on all four sides.
Improved Clearance
By dropping the GoFurther box closer to the floor in the PX Ranger version, clearance to the roller-shutter track cover is increased significantly.
