Description
The perfect companion product for our Ranger (RA) behind seat battery mounts, this bracket allows installation of a DCDC dual battery charger on the back wall of the cab, keeping the length of cable between the charger and battery to a minimum.
As seen here, the charger sits neatly above the Ford audio amplifier (where fitted). The carpet panel doesn’t have to be cut to fit the bracket and charger, but many installer prefer to do so, allowing them to clearly see the LED indicators on Redarc chargers.
Vehicle Compatibility
Unlike many other Next-Gen Ranger accessories, this product is not compatible with the 2023+ VW Amarok.
This product is not compatible with the Ranger PHEV
This product is not suitable for vehicles with the second generation premium audio system, denoted by the “ported” sub woofer, found in some (mostly North American) models from April 2024 onward.
The “ported” sub woofer it is only found in vehicles with the second generation amplifier which, is mounted differently, preventing our charger bracket from fitting.
This product is compatible with vehicles fitted with the first generation premium audio system and those without the behind-seat sub-woofer.
The first generation premium audio system looks like this:
In vehicles with the premium audio system the carpet panel includes a cutout for the amplifier which can be easily extended upward as seen below. In vehicles without the premium audio system, the charger is installed in the same position and the carpet can be trimmed as desired.
Whilst many prefer to trim the carpet panel, it’s personal preference only and the charger will continue to operate as intended totally concealed behind the carpet as seen in the photo below – If you look closely you can just about see the top mounting point of the AusMotion charger bracket between the child-seat anchor point and the bodywork.

Currently Redarc BCDC “Alpha” Chargers can only be used with this product in vehicles without the premium audio amplifier.
Installers who want to use the Redarc Alpha charger in a vehicle with the behind-seat amplifier, should use our accessory plate to mount the charger. Fuse blocks etc. can then be mounted to a “charger” bracket fitted above the amplifier if necessary.

Installation Notes
This bracket fits on the back wall of the cab, utilising existing holes and fixing points in the vehicle bodywork. It mounts directly above the premium audio amplifier fitted to Raptor and other models and is compatible with all vehicles both with and without the amplifier.
The contoured carpet panel on the back wall must be removed for installation. Once the bracket is fitted you may decide to cut the panel to allow visibility of the charger display (not necessary if using InterVolt chargers) before re-fitting.
Installation of the bracket takes around 30 minutes.
