Australia’s Original Molle Panel System
Our molle panel system has been around since 2020, first introduced for the PX Ford Ranger.
Manufactured from Australian Standard steel in Western Australia and powder coated in a tough three stage process, this durable panel provides multiple mounting options with a series of pre-cut holes, slots and cutouts. The panels allows you to secure your 4WD and camping accessories easily in the tub, without using bulky and heavy drawer systems.
Hilux Molle Panel Installation
Unlike some other vehicles, Hilux only has two bolted tie-down points on each side of the vehicle – One at the front and one at the rear. Supporting the molle panel only at the very ends is not sufficient, so the installer needs to drill one additional hole , slightly rearward of the wheel arch and fit either a rivnut or bolt.
For vehicles with the factory sports bar fitted, the front section of the molle panel is supported by a bracket that shares the sports bar mounting holes.
If your vehicle does not have the factory sports bar, or if you install only the rear section, you will need to drill a hole in the top lip of the tub to support the top of the panel, just behind the wheel arch.
Unique Two-Piece Design
Our panels are designed in two pieces, providing ultimate flexibility for your installation. The rear panel is easily accessible by reaching over the the top of the tub, or when standing at the tailgate and provides a strong mounting point for the front panel which, sits over the wheel arch. The rear panel can be installed by itself but the front section cannot installed without the rear.
Fully Engineered, Rated Capacity
Our Hilux molle panels have been fully engineered, including FEA stress analysis of the panel and mounting components – This is what sets our panels apart from other brands.
The rear panel section is rated to support 15kg vertical loading.
You can confidently strap jerry cans and other items to the panel, safe in the knowledge that it wont suffer permanent deformation or damage.
Available Versions
This product is available to fit either the left or right side of the vehicle
To select which side you need, simply pick the appropriate option from the drop-down list when ordering.
Which Side?
The left and right side terminology used for all of our products is shown below. For Australia and New Zealand, the driver’s side is the right side.
Vehicle Compatibility
Please read the following in full to establish if this panel is suitable for your vehicle.
Suitable for Toyota Hilux 2015 to November 2025 (Gen8 AN120, AN130)
We have not yet tested it in the new 2026 model.
Suitable for the following vehicles:
- 8th Generation / N80 Toyota Hilux SR5 with factory fitted bolt-in tie-down bars on the inside wall of the tub. No external “hooks” in the outer skin
Not suitable for the following vehicles:
- N80 Hilux SR or other models without bolt-in tie-down bars in the tub.
- Other models with external “hooks” on the outside of the body as shown below.
Compatibility With Other 4WD Accessories
We are still assessing compatibility with other accessories. If you have something else installed in the tub and it looks like it could clash with the AusMotion molle panels, please contact us before ordering, including photos of the item you think may be a problem.
Not suitable for vehicles fitted with:
- Drop-in plastic tub liners.
- RSi Smart Canopy.
- Canopies with large or bulky “legs” that sit in the corner of the tub.
- Some tub racks, hard lids or other equipment that attaches to the side wall of the tub.
- Bed Rug type carpet liners which, will prevent the panel fitting correctly at the lower rear corner.
- Swing cases.
- Dual battery system products that are already installed in the same part of the tub such as wheel arch battery trays.
Installation can be achieved on vehicles fitted with:
- Spray-on surface treatments
- Tonneau covers.
This list of compatible accessories will be expanded as we learn more.

Installation Notes
Installation takes around one hour per side.
New bolts included where required.
Pre-Cut Holes
Multiple holes pre-cut to suit M8 rivnuts/thread inserts (thread inserts not included).

Structural grade, Australian Standard steel.
Powder coated textured black.
