Why Mount Your Compressor Between the Tub Skins?
When Ford and ARB developed the Next-Gen Ranger platform, they engineered dedicated space within the rear quarter panel cavity specifically for auxiliary equipment. Mounting your compressor between the inner and outer tub wall takes advantage of this factory design—keeping heavy gear out of the cabin and off your tub floor while protecting the compressor from shifting cargo.
Important Installation Notes – Please read before ordering
The compressor is installed in the gap between the inner and outer skins of the tub and the bracket carries the weight of it from the inside. When looking at tub you’ll see 8 indentations which have the same dimensions as the ARB twin compressor plus another for the air quick-connect. This is where Ford have worked with ARB to provide a defined location for the compressor.
This product can be fitted either with or without a tub liner – However, if you have a tub liner you have to remove and re-fit it during installation of the compressor bracket.
To install the compressor you first mount the bracket as shown here then drill through the tub, you then get an assistant to hold the compressor up between the inner and outer skin and bolt through from the inside of the tub to secure it in position. When installed you will see the bracket as shown here plus the 8 bolt heads.
No additional wiring is included with this product. Wiring is the responsibility of the installer. We recommend that wiring is carried out by a qualified auto electrician.
The factory-fitted tie-down bars have a lock of thread locking compound on them which, can make them hard to remove. During installation we recommend cleaning the threads in the bodywork using an M8 thread tap which can be found in hardware stores.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Where is the compressor mounted?
The bracket mounts the compressor inside the rear quarter panel cavity, between the inner and outer skin of the ute tub. This utilizes the factory mounting position developed by ARB and Ford during the design of the RA Ranger platform.
Does this bracket reduce tub cargo space?
No. Because the compressor is housed completely inside the hollow cavity between the tub skins, you retain 100% of your tub floor area, drawer systems, and bed storage.
Does this bracket fit both the ARB Single and ARB Twin compressors?
No – the singles compressor cannot be installed in this location using this bracket (we’ve tried!)
Will this fit the Next-Gen Ranger Raptor and Wildtrak?
Yes. It fits all factory dual-cab tub configurations across the Next-Gen Ranger range, including the Wildtrak and Ranger Raptor, as well as the 2023+ VW Amarok.
Where do I connect the air hose when using the compressor?
The system allows you to route an airline fitting to a quick-connect chuck mounted directly through the inner tub wall or on an accessory panel, providing clean and effortless access without opening the bonnet or cabin.
