- Australian Consumer Law Guarantees
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. Nothing in these Terms and Conditions limits, excludes, or modifies your statutory consumer rights.
- Manufacturing Lead Times & Dispatch
Whilst every effort is made to manufacture and dispatch orders within the lead times stated on our website, timeframes are estimates based on production capacity. AusMotion will not be held liable for third-party service fees (such as mechanical workshop installation bookings) scheduled prior to physical receipt and inspection of your items. We strongly advise confirming delivery or waiting for the goods to arrive before scheduling external installation work.
- Warranty Terms
In addition to your ACL rights, AusMotion provides a 12-month manufacturer’s warranty from the date of purchase covering defects in material and workmanship on all AusMotion-branded products. Third-party branded items supplied by AusMotion carry their respective manufacturer warranties.
- Warranty Claims: If you discover a material defect, please notify us in writing at shop@ausmotion.com with your order details and photos/video of the issue.
- Warranty Remedies: Valid claims will be remedied in accordance with Australian Consumer Law via repair, replacement, or refund. Where a genuine defect or failure is established under ACL, AusMotion will cover or reimburse reasonable return freight costs.
- Exclusions: This warranty does not cover issues resulting from improper installation, unauthorized modifications, misuse, or vehicle use exceeding original equipment manufacturer specifications.
- Returns, Cancellations & Change of Mind
- Change-of-Mind Returns: In line with Australian Consumer Law, we do not provide refunds or exchanges for change of mind, incorrect ordering, or if the product is no longer required.
- Discretionary Returns: AusMotion may, at its discretion, accept returns of standard off-the-shelf items within 30 days of purchase provided the items are brand new, completely unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition. Approved change-of-mind returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee to cover inspection, repackaging, and administrative handling.
- Return Shipping (Change of Mind): Return postage for discretionary/change-of-mind returns is the customer’s responsibility. AusMotion does not accept responsibility for items lost or damaged during return transit.
- Made-to-Order Items: Custom-built, produced-to-order, or specially procured third-party items cannot be returned or cancelled for change of mind once production has commenced.
- Transit Damage: Any damage sustained during transit must be reported to shop@ausmotion.com within 14 days of delivery, including photos of the damaged packaging and product, to allow timely processing with carrier insurance.
- Return Authorisation
No goods will be accepted for return without prior written Return Authorisation (RMA) from AusMotion. To initiate an inquiry or claim, please contact shop@ausmotion.com.
- Vehicle Modifications & Compliance
Vehicle regulations, safety requirements, and modification laws vary between Australian states, territories, and international jurisdictions. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to ensure installed accessories comply with local road regulations and vehicle engineering standards prior to operation.
