Battery Compatibility

Tailored Specifically For the iTechworld iTECH100SS 100Ah Slimline Lithium Battery

Utilizes the dedicated threaded fastener locations on the iTech100SS casing for a secure, rattle-free mechanical connection

Running an alternative battery brand? See our Universal D-Max / BT-50 / NP300 Behind-Seat Bracket which supports Custom Lithium, Baintech, Amptron, and other slimline cases.

Installation Notes – BT50 and DMax

The installer must use a drill to increase the size of one hole in a bracket on the back wall of the cab (see photo below).

An M6 thread insert (supplied with the battery mount) must then be fitted to that hole using a simple, cost effective tool available from tool shops and large hardware stores. This product cannot be fitted without the supplied thread insert being added to the vehicle.

In DMax and BT50, The plastic trim panel that is fitted to the corner of the cab wall will need to be trimmed a little to provide clearance for the battery charger as shown below.

Installation Notes – Navara and X-Class

Soon after the NP300 variant was introduced, Nissan added ISOFIX child seat anchor points to the Navara. This product is designed to fit vehicles with those anchor points only. If your vehicle does not have ISOFIX child seat anchor points, you will need to drill two holes in the floor of the car and fix a suitable thread insert.

Suitable for all Navara and X-Class vehicles with the electric rear sliding window.

For vehicles with the electric sliding rear window, the actuator is relocated to above the battery. It’s proven to work well in this new location but the installer will need to extend the wiring to the actuator (a basic two wire cable).

The photo below shows the rear window motor mounted in the new location using a related product that fits an alternative battery.

Installation Notes – All Vehicles

Installation takes approximately one hour.

Carpet on back wall of the cab must be removed to install this product. You may decide to trim the carpet panel and fit the remains on either side of the battery mount but most owners opt to leave the carpet panel out of the vehicle.

Battery Monitor Mounting

The back plate includes pre-cut holes to fit the iTechWorld battery monitoring shunt directly above the battery.

A pre-cut hole in the back plate can be used to mount the iTechWorld BM500 battery monitor display – Note that this hole can only be used in DMax and BT50 because a cross-member obstructs the back of the hole in NP300 and X-Class.

For NP300 and X-Class we can supply an additional bracket that holds the display slightly forward of the back plate.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to drill any holes or cut the cab carpet?

BT50 and DMax owners will need to increase the size of one existing hole as shown above. The bracket bolts directly into existing factory mounting points on the cab back wall and floor. The carpet panel will need to be trimmed around the back plate.

Which side of the cab is the battery mounted on?

The battery is positioned on the right-hand (driver’s) side behind the rear seat backrest. This keeps the battery secure in the cab recess and leaves the passenger side clear for mounting your other electrical gear.

Will the rear seat latch back into its standard position?

Yes. The bracket is specifically profiled around the rear seat folding mechanism, allowing the rear seat backrest to latch securely into the factory locks without obstruction.

Can I mount my fuses and battery monitor shunt directly to this bracket?

Yes. The bracket includes pre-cut mounting locations for twin MIDI fuse holders (fuses facing outward for easy access) and dedicated mounting points for an iTechworld Shunt.

Will this bracket fit slimline batteries from other brands?

This version uses the threaded mounting pattern of the iTechworld iTECH100SS casing. If you are installing an Amptron, Custom Lithium, Baintech, or other standard slimline battery, choose our Universal D-Max / BT-50 / NP300 Behind-Seat Mount instead.
